EMPORIA, Kan. | The field for the 2024 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships has been announced, and UAH's men's and women's teams combined to earn berths to six events.

The 2024 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held in Emporia, Kansas, at Francis G. Welch Stadium and are hosted by Emporia State University from May 23-25.

The Chargers garnered three individual berths on the men's side with
Wilson McClain competing in 110-meter hurdles for the fourth time in his career and
Sam Wilhelm running in both the 5,000-meter and 10,000-meter races.

McClain enters Outdoor Nationals ranked 14th in NCAA Division II in 110-meter hurdles at 13.93, while Wilhelm rates in the top eight nationally in both of his qualifier races.

Jadlyn Debardlabon highlighted the Chargers women's Nationals qualifiers with a selection to compete in the long jump. She is currently tied for 11th in NCAA Division II in the long jump at 6.12 meters.

UAH men's and women's squads both qualified for the 4x100 meter relays as the Chargers men's team of
Ke'Andre Campbell,
Michael Gizzi, McClain and
Tommy Rodriguez has a season-best time of 39.80 to rank fifth nationally, while the UAH women's relay team of
Jordyn Dortch,
Amiah Murry,
Krystalynn Oatman and
Chandler Robinson rate 12th nationally at a time of 45.30.

UAH's 4x100 meters relay teams will compete in the preliminary round on Thursday, May 23, starting at 4:50 p.m., followed by Debardlabon in the long jump at 5:30 p.m. and Wilhelm in the 10,000-meter race at 8:10 p.m.

The Chargers 4x100 meters relay teams must finish in the top eight of prelims to qualify for the finals on Saturday, May 25, at 2 p.m.

McClain competes first for the Chargers on Friday, May 24, at 6:35 p.m. in 110-meter hurdles prelims, with Wilhelm's second action of Nationals set for Saturday, May 25, at 5 p.m in the 5,000-meter race.

Additionally, McClain must finish in the top eight of 110-meter prelims to qualify for the final round on May 25 at 2:45 p.m.
