Chargers Stay Hot With 4-1 Victory Over Spring Hill

MOBILE, Ala. | UAH men's soccer stayed hot Friday afternoon, traveling to the Alabama coast to defeat Spring Hill 4-1.

The match was scoreless for the first 33 minutes until Spring Hill's Ectoras Menelaou got one past goalkeeper Sonny Wright to take a 1-0 lead. It would be the only shot to beat Wright all night.

Once the second half began, it was all UAH. The Chargers got on the board in the 59th minute when the Badgers scored an own goal past keeper Carlos Vargas.

Sam Quickfall put the Chargers ahead for good in the 66th minute, finishing a pass from Stellios Starakis. Caleb Alldredge added to the lead with a goal in the 73rd minute to make it 3-1, and with three minutes remaining, Donovan Pruitte scored his first goal of the season to seal the victory.

UAH will wrap up the regular season Sunday afternoon, continuing its road trip in Pensacola, Fla., to face West Florida. The Chargers will then return home to prepare for the Gulf South Conference Men's Soccer Championship, which will be held Nov. 9, 14, and 16 at the Loretta P. Spencer Sports Complex Championship Field in Huntsville.
