HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | The UAH men's soccer team saw its postseason run come to an end Friday night, falling 2-1 to top-seeded Mississippi College in a heartbreaker at the Gulf South Conference Championship Semifinals held at the Loretta P. Spencer Sports Complex Championship Field.
The Chargers struck first late in the opening half when Oli Orzechowski scored in the 40th minute — his ninth goal of the season — to give UAH a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
Mississippi College responded after the break, as Russell Berko netted the equalizer early in the second half before scoring the game-winning goal with just 1:26 remaining in regulation to lift the Choctaws to victory.
With the loss, UAH's season comes to a close following a strong campaign that saw the Chargers return to the GSC Championship and earn their first postseason win since 2019.
