Women's Lacrosse Wraps Up Regular Season Nonconference Schedule with Win at Belmont Abbey

BELMONT, N.C. | The UAH women's lacrosse team wrapped up the 2025 regular season nonconference schedule on Wednesday afternoon with a 10-6 road win at Belmont Abbey. UAH improves to 5-8, while BAC slides to 6-5.
 
Junior Sarah Cole guided the Chargers to victory on Wednesday, leading the team with six goals, three ground balls, four caused turnovers and three draw controls in an incredible overall performance.
 
Cole's six goals match her season-high, as she increases her team-leading goal total to 33 after her six tallies on Wednesday.
 
Ella Rutherford and Corinne Baker scored two goals apiece to round out the Chargers offense at Belmont Abbey. Rutherford additionally tied Cole for the team lead with three draw controls, with Lauren Fleger also controlling three draws on Wednesday.
 
Isabelle Sawicki played the full time in goal for UAH with six saves and six goals allowed. This is the first time Sawicki has played the full 60 minutes in goal with six or fewer goals allowed.
 
UAH held the edge over Belmont Abbey in shots on goal (24-5), ground balls (18-15) and draw controls (11-9) as the Chargers also went 12-for-14 on clear attempts.
 
The Chargers jump into Gulf South Conference play on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Montevallo.
