Women's Lacrosse Wins 18-8 over Young Harris on Senior Day

HUNTSVILLE | The UAH women's lacrosse team cruised to an 18-8 win over Young Harris at Charger Park on Saturday afternoon in nonconference action. UAH improves to 3-6, while YHC slides to 3-3.
 
Sarah Cole highlighted the Chargers offense in the victory with a team-high six goals against the Mountain Lions, as the junior also added six draw controls and one caused turnover to the effort.
 
UAH also benefitted from four-point performances by both Regan Flanagan with two goals and two assists and Ella Rutherford with three goals and one assist.
 
Noelle Coleman (1g-1a), Maya Bronson (1g-1a) and Corinne Baker (2g-0a) gave the Chargers six players with multi-point performances with each adding two points as well.
 
Bronson additionally led the Blue & White with four ground balls, while Baker and Ava Fudjinski rated second with three pickups apiece. Overall, UAH held the edge 25-13 on ground balls on Saturday.
 
Sydney Schiavone and Delia Nichol guided UAH's defensive effort with a team-high two caused turnovers apiece.
 
UAH goalies Isabelle Sawicki and Farrah Westfall combined for the victory in goal on Saturday, with Sawicki posting a team-high two saves against the Mountain Lions.
 
The Chargers are back in action on Sunday at 1 p.m. against visiting Thomas More at Charger Park.
