HARROGATE, Tenn. | UAH men's soccer remained unbeaten and earned its first road win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Lincoln Memorial on Sunday afternoon.
After a scoreless first half, reigning GSC Defensive Player of the Week Harvey Hewson scored the lone goal in the 52nd minute off a pass from Wesley Atoyebi.
UAH's defense held strong against a heavy LMU attack in the second half. The Railsplitters fired 13 shots after halftime, including six on goal, but goalkeeper Sonny Wright stopped them all to preserve the shutout.
With the win, the Chargers improved to 3-0-1. UAH will return to action Friday, Sept. 19, at 7:30 p.m. when they host Lee in the GSC opener at Charger Park.
