MONTEVALLO, Ala. | UAH women's basketball overcame a slow start on Thursday night, defeating Montevallo 64–56 to extend its program-record winning streak to 13 games.
UAH trailed 15–12 at the end of the first quarter but responded with a strong second period, outscoring the Falcons 21–13 to take a five-point lead into halftime. The Chargers maintained control in the second half to secure the road victory.
Lili Wilken delivered a standout performance, tying her career high with 36 points. Wilken scored 20 points in the first half and continued to dominate after the break, carrying the Chargers offensively throughout the night.
Wilken also set a new career high with five three-pointers, surpassing Montevallo's entire team total of four made threes. At the free-throw line, she posted a season-high nine made free throws, finishing 9-of-12.
With the win, UAH improved to 9–0 in Gulf South Conference play and remained perfect on the road at 5–0 this season.
The Chargers' road trip continues on Saturday, when UAH travels to Montgomery to face Auburn Montgomery at 2 p.m., as the team looks to push its winning streak to 14 games.
