HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | Women's Basketball extended their winning streak to seven games Saturday afternoon with an 85–52 victory over Montevallo at SportsMED Arena inside Spragins Hall.
The win marked UAH's 25th of the season and improved the Chargers to 20-1 in Gulf South Conference play while keeping their home record perfect at 14-0. The victory was also UAH's 43rd all-time win against Montevallo, the most against any opponent in program history.
UAH set the tone early, building a 26–11 lead by the end of the first quarter behind six made 3-pointers. Montevallo responded in the second quarter, trimming the deficit to 34–28 at halftime.
The Chargers pulled away decisively after the break, outscoring the Falcons 51–24 in the second half. UAH shot 9-for-13 from 3-point range over the final two quarters and converted 14-of-14 free throws during the stretch to secure the 33-point victory.
Four Chargers scored in double figures. Millie Brown finished with 15 points and connected on 5-of-9 attempts from beyond the arc. Paris Opelt and Ivey Maddox each added 14 points, while Lili Wilken recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
UAH will return to action Friday, Feb. 27, when the Chargers host West Alabama at 5:30 p.m. The game will serve as Senior Night, honoring Wilken and Brown ahead of the postseason.
