The Chargers enter their final regular season contest with a 19-8 (14-7 GSC) record and currently sit as the fourth seed for the Gulf South Conference Championships. With a win, the Chargers will secure a home game in the quarterfinal of the tournament. The Blue & White will be celebrating six seniors at Friday evening's game against the Tigers.

In addition to their seeding in the GSC standings, the Chargers were placed as the ninth ranked team in the South Region ahead of postseason play with eight teams qualifying for the South Region Championship.

West Alabama visits Huntsville with a 24-3 (19-2 GSC) record and sits atop the GSC standings and control their destiny through the conference tournament. They are the third-ranked team in the South Region and have the highest scoring margin in the league at 15 points per game.

Following Friday's matchup, the Chargers are set to face off in a third matchup with Valdosta State regardless of seeding. UAH claims the fourth seed and home court against the Blazers if VSU drops their Friday game against Montevallo.
