UAH Records Best Learfield Directors’ Cup Finish in Program History

CLEVELAND, Ohio | UAH recorded the highest Learfield Directors' Cup finish in program history, placing 41st in the final NCAA Division II standings announced Tuesday by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics.

The Chargers totaled 417.5 points during the 2025-26 athletic year, finishing third among Gulf South Conference programs. West Florida led the GSC in 12th place, followed by Lee in 15th and UAH in 41st.

UAH earned 106 points during the fall season, 182.5 points in the winter and 129 points in the spring.

Men's Cross Country led the fall scoring for the Chargers with 53 points after finishing 21st at the NCAA Championships. Women's Cross Country added 28 points, while Volleyball contributed 25.

The winter season produced UAH's strongest point total, highlighted by Women's Basketball earning 83 points with its run to the NCAA Division II Final Four. Men's Basketball added 64 points, while Women's Indoor Track and Field contributed 35.5.

In the spring, Softball paced the Chargers with 64 points after advancing to the NCAA Super Regionals. Women's Outdoor Track and Field added 37.5 points, and Men's Outdoor Track and Field totaled 27.5.

Grand Valley State won the Division II Learfield Directors' Cup with 1,089.75 points. Wingate, Indianapolis, West Texas A&M and Minnesota State rounded out the top five.
