The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team is at home for the first time in the 2026 season as the hosts for the UAH Invitational presented by Bojangles beginning Thursday, September 3, and ending Saturday, September 5.

The Chargers open the invitational on Thursday at 6 p.m. against Harding. UAH will play in a match each day across the three-day tournament.

Following the first day, UAH will play in Match 3 of Friday against Spring Hill College at 2:30 p.m. before closing out the final match of the invitational on Saturday at 4:45 p.m. against Mars Hill.

The Gulf South Conference and FloSports are continuing their partnership, with all UAH home games and road GSC contests being exclusively streamed on FloVolleyball.

UAH is back on the court after an opening weekend wherein the Chargers went 3-0 at the Ray Thrasher Classic in Nashville where the team won 3-1 against Ohio Dominican and 3-2 against Shorter on Friday, August 28. The Chargers closed out their unbeaten weekend with a 3-0 sweep against Lincoln Memorial on Saturday.

Cooper Garrett earned all-tournament team honors after posting hitting 26 kills, 2.17 per set, and totaled 71 assists across the three matches. Mary Grace Bundrant comes into the invitational after leading the team in total blocks with 14, 1.17 per set, while Emily Redman led the team with 36 total digs.

UAH is 3-17 against Harding all-time and last faced off with the Lady Bisons in 2024 when UAH won, 3-2. The Chargers are 3-0 against Spring Hill College and last played in 2025 when UAH earned a 3-0 win. Similarly, UAH is 3-0 against Mars Hill all-time, but the two have not faced each other since UAH earned a 3-0 win in 2018.
