Student Athlete Orientation

Each year the athletic department will hold a mandatory all sport orientation. It is typically held on the day prior to school starts in the Fall. It is mandatory for all student athletes to attend. Your sport coach will provide the date and time over the summer.

 

Student-Athlete Compliance Education

All student athletes are required to participate in NCAA, UAH, and conference rules education experiences. This education is a mixture of in person session with the Director of Athletic Compliance, speakers on various topics, online learning modules, and more. Your participation is mandatory. Updates will be communicated through JumpForward.

 

Federal Educational Rights to Privacy Act (FERPA) and NCAA/UAH/Conference Forms and Documents

The US has a federal law that gives students the rights to their educational records and the rights to allow the information in their records to be used. Due to this law, student athletes will be required to release the use of this information (sign waivers) for NCAA, UAH, and conference mandatory rules requirements. You do not have to release this information if you wish. UAH reserves the right to not allow anyone to participate on a UAH athletic team if these waivers are not given. This is due to our mandatory requirements to provide certain information to the NCAA.
