1. No Extra Benefits to Student Athletes Statement- Refer to NCAA Bylaws.
2. Awards to Student-Athletes- Refer to NCAA Bylaws.
3. Participation, Championship and Special Achievement Awards/Bylaw 16- Refer to NCAA Bylaws.
4. Academic Counseling and Support Services- Academic counseling and support services are offered on campus through various entities, and are available to all students on campus free of charge. Programs are offered at the UAH Student Success Center and through Counseling and Disability Services. These are university wide services and communicated through the university student services entity of the institution.
5. Life Skills Program- The athletic department conducts a Life Skills program available to all student athletes free of charge. See Student Athlete Welfare Section IV.6. See SAAC, Charging On! And SAMs in the Student Athlete Handbook.
6. Occasional Meals/Team Building- Certain occasional meals and team building events are allowed per NCAA bylaws. Meals and events are to be logged in a master listing with the DoAC.

7. UAH SSAFE Fund- This is a fund administered by the Office of Diversity for students, faculty and staff in need. The fund is approved through UAH compliance (as of 12-2-15) for student athletes to apply and receive funding if they are approved by the SSAFE committee.
Steps to take-
1. Students and/or staff are to complete the SSAFE Fund Request form and return to the Office of Diversity, who handles the fund.
2. Notify compliance of the request made to the SSAFE fund.
3. Compliance will follow up with OoD to make sure it was according to approved policies.
8. Prohibited Expenses- See NCAA Bylaws.

Other Prohibited Expenses- University faculty and staff (including athletic department staff), trustees and sponsors, boosters and those with athletic interests are prohibited from signing or co-signing a loan, guaranteeing a bond, giving an automobile or use of an automobile and/or any other transportation to any and all student-athletes.Â
