Nick Laurila is in his third season with the UAH hockey staff after spending the previous five years at WCHA-member Michigan Tech, where he served as video coordinator for four years.

In his time at Tech, he was responsible for video analysis, pre-scouting opponents, live game breakdown, as well as assisting in the day-to-day operations of the team.

Nick is responsible for fundraising and organizing community events related to the UAH hockey program, while also serving as the coordinator of all internal and external video efforts. He coordinates travel plans, work with opposing teams and their video efforts, while assisting the coaching staff in all pregame and postgame preparation.

He also currently works with USA Hockey serving as the video coordinator of the Women’s National Team. Most recently at the 2016 IIHF World Championships in Kamloops, BC, Canada.

A native of Carol Stream, Illinois, Nick earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Michigan Tech in 2010 and his MBA from UAH in 2016. Nick resides in Huntsville.
