Alex Guyer is in his second year as an assistant coach with the UAH men’s soccer team. He came to Huntsville after a terrific playing career at Hastings College under the direction of UAH head coach Chris Kranjc.
While at Hastings, Guyer started all four years and earned All-American status in three of those seasons including twice being named a First Team All-American in goal. Additionally, he was a three-time GPAC All-Conference selection and was honored as the GPAC Defensive Player of the Year in each of those three seasons.
Guyer was also strong in the classroom, earning NSCAA Academic All-American status.
Three times he helped guide the Broncos to the NAIA national tournament including an appearance in the 2013 national quarterfinals.
