Elliott Bender was named assistant coach for the women’s lacrosse program in the 2021-22 academic year.
Bender has been playing and coaching lacrosse for a combined 20-plus years. Growing up in California, Elliott played lacrosse as a four-year captain of his high school program, and went on to attend and play lacrosse at Division III institution Fontbonne University.
After college, Elliott pursued the game of box lacrosse, playing for the Clarington Green Gaels Junior Lacrosse team in Ontario, Canada, then the Oakville Lacrosse Senior A club, and finally, the Jacksonville Bullies professional lacrosse league team.
As a coach, Elliott holds two California State High School Championships, has achieved multiple undefeated seasons, and has coached seven years for the USABOXLA National Team.
In addition to coaching, Elliott has also been Club President for two organizations, a Director of Player Development and CEO of a Travel Lacrosse Club.
