Tanner Mickey joined UAH in the Spring of 2023 and rose to the department's leadership team in 2024 as Assistant Athletic Director for Communications.
Mickey has grown to lead the Chargers communications efforts helping maintain the UAH Chargers brand, while managing the office's game day, student and volunteer staff. He is the primary contact for UAH volleyball, men's basketball, baseball and track & field.
His most recent stop was at Wayne State in Nebraska as Sports Information Assistant, as he previously graduated from WSC with a degree in Sport Management in 2016.
He has additionally assisted the athletic communications departments at Augustana, Grand Valley State and the Naval Academy working with a wide range of programs.
