HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - After stepping out of the conference for a contest, the UAH volleyball team will travel to Memphis, Tenn., on Tuesday evening for a 7 p.m. contest with Christian Brothers to continue Gulf South Conference play. UAH goes into the game with a 7-12 (2-4 GSC) record while CBU owns a 16-4 (4-2 GSC) mark.
The two teams met earlier in the season at the UAH Country Inn and Suites Invitational, and the Lady Bucs took the contest by a 3-0 score.
The Lady Chargers are coming off of an exciting 3-1 victory over UNC-Pembroke on Saturday.
After that contest,
Jessica Ruple continues to lead the squad offensively with 217 kills, while
Kelly Wilson sits two assists shy of the 600 mark for the season with 598.
Kaeli McCaghren has compiled a team-best 228 digs, and
Angela Thurmond is joined by
Kelsey Williams to pace the team with 48 and 44 blocks, respectively.
Putting itself into a tie for third in the GSC, Christian Brothers knocked off West Alabama by a 3-0 score in its last contest.
The Lady Bucs are being led by Hannah Kurtz's 205 kills and Corinne Doder's 325 digs.
In the earlier contest between the two teams, CBU outhit the Lady Chargers by a .263 to .155 clip. Though it was a 3-0 sweep for the Lady Bucs, the contest was closer than it would seem as the largest margin of victory in a set was four in a 25-21 third.
