No. 7 Chargers To Host Oakwood Sunday

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. –
The No. 7 UAH men's basketball team will play its last home game for quite a while on Sunday when it welcomes Oakwood to Spragins Hall for a 4 p.m. showdown. The Chargers enter the contest with a 4-2 mark on the season.

UAH will next play at home in the new year on Jan. 9.

Its last time out, the Blue and White dropped a two-point decision to Harding as it fell 65-63. Jaime Smith led the Chargers in the contest as he scored 20 points, and Josh Magette recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 assists.

Smith leads the Chargers with a scoring average of 19 points on the season, while Zane Campbell and Magette are also averaging double figures with 16.3 and 10.8 points per game, respectively.

The 19.0 points per contest for Smith ranks second in the Gulf South Conference, and Magette is by far leading the GSC with his 58 assists.

The team has shot over 50 percent from the field on the season and opponents are shooting 44.0 percent from the floor. UAH is behind in the rebounding battle on the season by a slim tenth of a rebound per game.
