Lady Chargers Look to Stay Hot at Shorter

LIVE STATS
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. –
The Lady Chargers look to continue their two-game GSC winning streak on Thursday evening, when they travel to Shorter looking to stay hot.

UAH has won four out of their last five games, and three out of their last four Gulf South Conference games.

They visit Rome, Georgia, to take on the Shorter Hawks, one of the newest members to the GSC. Shorter is having a great season of their own as well, as they sit at 4-2 in the conference and 11-2 overall.

It has been Jasmine Crook leading the way for the Hawks this season, as the sophomore leads her team with 177 kills. Leslie Welch and Anna Graham have also been impressive so far, notching 125 and 112 kills respectively.

Shorter holds the short three-game record against UAH, owning a 2-1 advantage. The Hawks beat the Lady Chargers last season in five sets.

GSC Offensive Player of the Week Angela Thurmond will look to get her team another conference victory and move over the .500 mark in GSC play this season.

Stacey Sargent, Haley Snyder and Kelsey Williams will also look to key the UAH attack against the Hawks.

Look for Kelly Wilson to set up the UAH attack and Kennedie Lariscy to the work defensively.

First serve is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
