Lady Chargers Roll 3-0 on Senior Day

Box Score HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team ended the regular season with a 3-0 win over Union on Saturday afternoon at Spragins Hall as Kelsey Williams and Kelly Wilson were honored on senior day.
 
The Lady Chargers (11-20, 5-11 GSC) dominated a Union (4-26, 1-15) team that was playing their third road game in three nights.
 
UAH took the first set 25-17, as they shot out to a 9-3 lead and never looked back. Aided by a couple of Union attack errors, Alexis Deal and Haley Snyder picked up kills late to wrap up the set victory.
 
The second set was all about the blue and white, as the Lady Chargers won the set convincingly by a final of 25-14. Union would battle the third set to a 25-21 final, but ultimately went on to lose their 15th conference match of the season.
 
The seniors Williams and Wilson had very strong performances in their final game at Spragins Hall. Williams led the team in kills with nine and a .643 hitting percentage.
 
Wilson racked up 20 assists to add to her career total which now places her into fourth all-time in UAH history.
 
Olivia Bauman and Kendall Knisley also had strong performances as they recorded a combined 11 kills. Kennedie Lariscy, Stacey Sargent and Ashton Baker all played solid defensively for UAH to end the regular season on a high note.
 
Union was led by Kristen Cook who finished with nine kills and five digs.
 
The Lady Chargers now prepare for the Gulf South Conference Tournament, which will be played next weekend in Pensacola, Fla. UAH will play West Georgia on Friday with game times to be announced.
 
UAH will be the No. 6 seed in the tournament while West Georgia will be No. 3.
