Box Score FLORENCE, Ala. – The struggle continued for the University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team on Friday night, as they were downed in straight sets to North Alabama.
The Lady Chargers (10-17, 4-9 GSC) couldn't get any momentum going against the host Lions (11-13, 7-6 GSC), a team they defeated earlier this season in Huntsville.
The closest set UAH would play would be the third set in which they lost 25-17. They went down quietly in the first set 25-14 and did not have much success again in the second set with a 25-16 loss.
Kendall Knisley did her part for the Lady Chargers finishing with nine kills, while
Haley Snyder added six of her own.
The 24 total team kills was the second-lowest for UAH this season, as the North Alabama frontline blocked eight potential kills and the Lady Chargers committed 18 errors of their own.
De'licia Hutchins led the way for North Alabama, as she finished with a game-high 10 kills.
UAH still holds the advantage over West Alabama for the final spot in the GSC Tournament, but if the Tigers beat West Florida tomorrow, they will have four conference wins like UAH.
The Lady Chargers will play Palm Beach Atlantic tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. in Florence, Alabama, stepping outside of GSC play.
