LIVE STATS

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Lady Chargers will face cross-town rival Alabama A&M on Tuesday, as they look to build off a successful weekend.

UAH (5-3) played outstanding over the weekend, posting a 3-1 record, taking down Henderson State, Albany State and Paine. The Lady Chargers came up just short of a perfect weekend, as they fell to Florida Tech in the fifth set 15-10.

Up next is UAH's cross-town rival, the Alabama A&M Bulldogs. It has been a struggle for the SWAC-members from Normal, Alabama, but that won't take anything away from this rivalry.

A&M sits winless at 0-11, and has only taken one set in those 11 matches. Competing in the very competitive Ole Miss Tournament over the weekend, the Bulldogs fell to Rice, North Dakota and Ole Miss over the weekend.

It will be the first home game for A&M this season.

The Lady Chargers fell to the Bulldogs last season at home in five sets, spoiling senior night for UAH. The squad will be out for revenge on Tuesday.

Leading the way so far this season has been Angela Thurmond with her 96 kills and 24 blocks. Kelsey Williams has been impressive as well, posting 76 kills and 19 blocks.

It has been senior Kelly Wilson and sophomore Ashton Baker that have been setting up the UAH attackers in 2012. Wilson leads the way with 159 assists, good enough for almost 5.5 a game. Baker has set up 137. The two have also combined for 22 service aces.

It has been Stacey Sargent, Kennedie Lariscy and Kendall Knisley who have led the way defensively.

First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at T.M. Elmore Gymnasium in Normal, Alabama.
