Men's Soccer Set To Host Shorter

LIVE STATS
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. --
The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer team will continue Gulf South Conference play on Thursday when the Chargers return home for just the second time this season, welcoming Shorter for a 4:30 p.m. contest at Charger Park. UAH enters the game at 0-5 (0-2 GSC), while the Hawks sit at 1-4-1 (0-2 GSC).

Both teams fell to Christian Brothers and Delta State in their first taste of conference action this past weekend., and though the contest counts in the GSC standings, Shorter is not eligible for postseason play yet as the school continues to progress towards full Division II and GSC membership.

Kyle Simmons continues to pace the Chargers in scoring with his two goals and four points, and Ragnar Leosson is just on his heels with a goal and assist for three points.

Neither of the teams for Thursday's match have had much luck offensively yet this season with the Blue and White registering three goals on the year and Shorter having tallied five scores.

Leading the way for the Hawks is Irvin Espinal with six points on the strength of two goals and a pair of assists, and Diego Gonzalez has notched two strikes and a helper for five points.

Live stats for the contest will be available at uahchargers.com.
