HUNTSVILLE, Ala. –
Welcoming a pair of Gulf South Conference opponents to begin a five-game home stand, the UAH men's soccer team will take on West Florida at 3:30 p.m. on Friday while hosting West Alabama at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. The Chargers enter the weekend at 1-7 (0-4 GSC).

UAH will be looking for continued production from the team's top two scorers Ragnar Leosson and Kyle Simmons as the pair accounts for all of the team's goals on the season. Leosson has scored four times while adding two assists for 10 points, and Simmons has matched the four goals to go along with an assist for nine points.

West Florida owns a 3-2-1 (2-0-1 GSC) record and is riding a four-game unbeaten streak including beating Delta State 4-2 in its last time out. Frank Cope leads a balanced offensive attack with two goals and a pair of assists as seven different UWF players have tallied a goal this season.

A season ago, the Chargers won a thriller in the regular season as a successful penalty kick in overtime led the Blue and White to their first win over the Argos since 2000, but it was West Florida who was victorious when the two teams met in the GSC Tournament.

On a five-game winning streak, West Alabama owns an impressive 7-1 record. The first-year program, however, has only left the friendly confines of Livingston once – recording a 2-0 win over Georgia Southwestern.

UAH defeated the Hurricanes by the same score.

Thibault Charmey paces the Tigers with five goals and two assists.
