LIVE STATS | LIVE AUDIO | LIVE VIDEO
PENSACOLA, Fla. –
The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball will look to right the ship on Saturday when it continues Gulf South Conference play at West Florida. Tip between the Lady Chargers (5-8, 2-1 GSC) and the Argos (3-8, 0-3 GSC) is slated for 2 p.m.

UAH led for a majority of the contest its last time out, but Valdosta State was able to pull past the team late in the contest to take away a 54-51 victory. The setback marked the fourth time in the past six games that the Lady Chargers have fallen in a game decided by five or less points.

Natalie Kelley notched her third double-double of the season in the contest, and the Hanceville, Ala., native continues to pace the league with a field goal percentage of 58.9 percent while also ranking fourth in rebounding as she averages 8.2 boards per game.

The team's two other leading scorers in the Valdosta State game continue to rank in the top five in scoring in the GSC as Jasmine Hammon sits second with 17.7 per contest, and Jordan Smith is averaging 15.8 points a game.

A season ago the Lady Chargers and West Florida played to an exciting 90-88 game in overtime that UAH won to sweep the season series from the Argos. Saturday's hosts own a 25-20 advantage, however, in the all-time series.

The Argos have dropped four of their previous five games – the one win a dramatic triple-overtime 94-86 victory over Miles – and the squad is winless in GSC play including a 65-54 defeat at the hands of Shorter on Thursday.

Hanna Vette leads the squad offensively as she is scoring 14.2 points per game, and Jaymie Druding is averaging 10.5 points and 8.1 boards in leading the team on the glass.

Live stats and video for the contest will be available at goargos.com, and the game will be carried locally in the Tennessee Valley on 97.7 The Zone.
