Box Score 2 CARROLLTON, Ga. – The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team dropped a pair of matches on Friday at the West Georgia Crossover, losing to Palm Beach Atlantic and Rollins, 3-0 and 3-1 respectively.
Rachel Brugman and Haley Syder led UAH with 12 and 11 kills, respectively, while
Ashton Baker extended her double-double streak to seven with 14 digs and 33 assists.
The Lady Chargers (7-12) picked up their only set victory in the second set, 26-24. UAH actually trailed in the set 24-22, but rattled off four-straight points to tie the match at 1-1. Three Rollins' attack errors and a
Haley Snyder kill sparked the run.
UAH hung around in the beginning set while taking an early 8-7 lead thanks to two kills by Snyder, two kills by Brugman and a kill by
Olivia Bauman. However, Rollins would outscore UAH 15-9 to take the first set 25-17.
Rollins controlled the third set entirely en route to a 25-8 win. The Tars would close the match with a tight 25-22 victory.
The Lady Chargers fell to Palm Beach Atlantic in their first match of the day 3-0.
UAH closes the Crossover tomorrow with matches against Lynn and Saint Leo.
