About the Lady Chargers

HOME STRETCH – The Lady Chargers are entering their final two home games of a four-game conference homestand this weekend, as they host West Alabama and West Florida. UAH improved to 3-0 at home on Tuesday night, sweeping their rival North Alabama in three sets.
 
GSC's BEST: Jordon Lambert (hitting), Olivia Bauman (hitting), Haley Snyder (kills), Ashton Baker (assists), Stacey Sargent (digs) and Kendall Knisley (blocks) all represent the Lady Chargers in the top five of the conference. The Lady Chargers are currently tied with West Georgia for the most players in the top five with six total.

About the Opponents

UWA: West Alabama enters Friday's contest with an 8-5 record on the season and a 2-3 record in the GSC. UWA recently dropped a five-set match to conference-foe Christian Brothers. The Tiger have fell in three of their last five overall matches.
 
UWA: Sophomore Morgan Ray leads the Lions with 160 kills while averaging 3.27 kills per set. Fellow teammate Lindsey Ball is third in the conference with 202 digs, while Elizabeth Culhane and Jessica Voyles lead the team with 30 and 29 blocks, respectively.
 
UWF:  West Florida visits Spragins Hall Saturday ranked 20th in the nation.The Argonauts boast a 9-4 record on the season while currently standing at 4-1 in the GSC. UWF will look to extend their season-high three-game winning streak Friday night as they take on North Alabama before they visit Spragins Hall.
 
UWF: The Argonauts are led by three different players that have surpassed 100 kills. Autumn Duyn (152), Jenny Bellairs (117) and Lindsay Hommie (111) are the standouts so far this season.  Jenny Bellairs has a team-high 48 blocks on the season, which is good enough for second best in the conference.

Series History

UWA: The Lady Chargers own a 32-25 overall record against the Tigers. UWA swept the season series last year, including five of the last six matches overall. UAH's last victory against UWA came in 2010 in five sets.
 
UWF:  West Florida holds a 17-7 advantage over the Lady Chargers in the series history. UWF has won the previous 16 matches dating back to 2003. The Lady Chargers last win came in 2003, when they defeated the Argonauts in four sets at home.
