About the Lady Chargers

PERFECT START: Only two teams in program history have notched better starts than the 2013-14 squad. On Saturday the Lady Chargers will be attempting to match the 4-0 start that the 1982-83 team enjoyed, while the 1990-91 team won its first five games of the year.

ADDING TO HER RESUME: After recording seven boards against Trevecca Nazarene on Wednesday, senior guard Jasmine Hammon is just two rebounds away from setting the record for most career rebounds. The current mark, which is 604, was set by Crystal Cooper when she played at UAH from 1984-86. Hammon already owns the record for most points (1585), free throws made (430) and free throw attempts (590).

SECOND HALF DOMINANCE: Through the first three game of the season, the Lady Chargers have dominated the second half against their opponents. UAH has averaged 60 points in the second half while allowing 30.3 points in the second stint. On Wednesday against Trevecca Nazarene, the Lady Chargers outscored the Lady Trojans by 31 points (58-27) in the second half while holding TNU to 25.8 percent shooting (8-31).

STEINERT PICKING POCKETS:  Junior guard Shannon Steinert has certainly been a nightmare on defense for opposing teams. In the first three games of the season, Steinert has already reached 20 steals while averaging 6.67 steals per game. She recently tallied nine steals against Trevecca Nazarene on Wednesday. The Hoover, Ala., native is also averaging 13 points per game, the third highest on the team.

About the Opponent

ABOUT THE LADY CRUSADERS: Tennessee Temple arrives to Huntsville with a record of 0-4 to start the season while their last two losses are by a combined six points.  The Lady Crusaders are averaging 51 points a game this season while allowing their opponents to score 64.5 points.

Series History

The Lady Chargers have dominated the series with the Lady Crusaders, owning an 11-0 record in the all-time series. In the last contest between the two opponents in Dec. of 2011, six different players scored in double figures to lead the Lady Chargers to a convincing 117-37 victory.
