UAH Suffers 3-0 Setback at UWA

Box Score Livingston, Ala.-  The UAH volleyball team fell in straight sets on the road at West Alabama Friday night. The Lady Chargers drop to 11-17 (6-8 GSC) while the Lady Tigers improve to 11-15 (4-11 GSC) on the season.

Rachel Brugman led the Lady Chargers with eight kills while sophomore Olivia Bauman was right behind her fellow teammate with seven kills. Sophomore Ashton Baker continued her trend of double doubles with her 18th of the season as the Milton, Fla., native tallied 20 assists and 15 digs.

The Lady Chargers would cut the lead on two separate occasions throughout the first set; however, UWA would hold on to take the first set 25-19.

UAH and UWA tied multiple times in the second set as the Lady Tigers would score the final five points when tied 20-20 to be just
one set short of the victory.

In the third and final set, the Lady Chargers would take the Lady Tigers to extra points. Despite the valiant effort, UWA pulled out the victory in the third set 26-24

The Lady Chargers will look to bounce back quickly as they head to Pensacola, Fla. for a 2 p.m. matchup against 22nd-ranked West Florida on Saturday.
