Box Score PENSACOLA, Fla. – The UAH volleyball team fell 3-1 on the road Saturday afternoon to West Florida. The setback puts the Lady Chargers at 11-18 (6-9 GSC) while the Argos improve to 22-7 (14-2 GSC) on the year.
Sophomore
Olivia Bauman led the way with a team-high 14 kills while
Ashton Baker led the team with 16 digs to go along with 19 assists for her 19th double-double of the season.
Alexis Deal ended the day with six blocks to lead the Lady Chargers at the net.
UAH took the first set 25-19 as the Lady Chargers outscored the Argos 13-7 the rest of the way when the set was tied 12-12.
Kendall Knisley held serve for four of the points as Bauman contributed with two kills and
Haley Snyder chipped in with one.
UWF took control the rest of the way as the Argos captured the second set 25-7. UAH performed better in the next two sets, but would fall 25-19 and 25-21.
Lindsay Homme, Jenny Bellairs and Sarah Scott all led Argos with double-digit kills while UWF ended with a .269 hitting percentage. Abby Timmer finished with a game-high 23 assists and Kate Keegan had 15 digs.
The Lady Chargers will return to action on Tuesday as they head to Memphis, Tenn. for their final road game against Christian Brothers at 7 p.m.
