DELTA STATE: LIVE STATS | LIVE AUDIO
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. –
The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team is set for a two-game road trip as the squad will take on Christian Brothers on Thursday at 5 p.m. before travelling to Mississippi to play Delta State at 2 p.m. on Saturday. The Lady Chargers enter the pair of games at 10-13 (7-6 Gulf South Conference).

UAH bounced back from its setback to Valdosta State with a thrilling 72-71 victory over West Florida in which the team overcame an 18-point deficit. Jordan Smith led the way for the Lady Chargers in the contest with 21 points, and she continues to rank third in the league in scoring with 15.6 points per game.

The league's second-best scorer added 12 more points in the victory, and Jasmine Hammon now needs just 65 points to become the program's all-time leading scorer. With five regular season games remaining, the junior needs to average 13 points per game to breach the mark before the Gulf South Conference tournament.

When the Lady Chargers hosted this week's opponents in the Rocket City, UAH was victorious in both affairs.

The team rolled to a 79-60 victory over Christian Brothers in a game that saw Hammon score 28 points while freshman Halle Jarnagin recorded a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards. Winning 69-64 over the Lady Statesmen, four Lady Chargers scored in double figures led by Smith who tallied 20. Bailee Robinson provided a spark off the bench as she tallied 11 in the game.

Since picking up a road win on Valdosta State on Jan. 24, CBU has fallen in four straight – including a 54-55 loss to Delta State on Feb. 2. Breanna Ridgell paces the team offensively as she is averaging 14.0 points per game, while Samantha Reeves is the team's leading rebounder with 5.7 boards per contest.

The Lady Statesmen had won three in a row before falling 52-42 at North Alabama this past Saturday. Seneca Walton leads the team with 13.1 points per game, and she is also averaging the team on the glass with 8.0 rebounds per game.
