LIVE STATS | LIVE AUDIO | LIVE VIDEO
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. –
Closing out the regular season, the University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team is set to welcome Shorter for a 5 p.m. contest on Saturday at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall. The Lady Chargers enter the contest at 11-16 (8-9 Gulf South Conference), while the Lady Hawks own a mark of 15-10 (10-7 GSC).

The Lady Chargers will play in next week's Gulf South Conference Basketball Championships, while Shorter is not eligible as it continues its transition to full-time membership.

UAH will be looking to snap a three-game slide while also aiming to build upon its 7-3 record at home.

In contests in the Rocket City, Jasmine Hammon – who became the program's all-time leading scorer last week at North Alabama – is averaging 18.5 points per game while shooting 43.2 percent from the field. Overall on the season, the junior is shooting 37.0 percent.

The game on Saturday will mark the final home contest for four seniors – Morgan Duncan, Natalie Kelley, Francheska Nimes, and Bailee Robinson. This group helped the team last year to the most wins in the program's NCAA Division II era while also earning a berth to the NCAA tournament for the first in the history of the program.

All four transferred to UAH from junior colleges where each also enjoyed great success.

In the earlier meeting between the two teams in Rome, Ga., Shorter narrowly edged out the Lady Chargers 56-55.

The Lady Hawks have won two straight after falling in the three games prior to that including winning 66-57 at league-leader Union last weekend. Karisma Boykin leads the way for the Lady Hawks as she is averaging 12.0 points per contest.

Live stats and video will be available at uahchargers.com, and the game will be heard throughout the Tennessee Valley on 97.7 The Zone.
