CONFERENCE STANDING: UAH currently sits at fifth overall in the Gulf South Conference with a 5-4 record in league games. Shorter tops the conference with a perfect 7-0 record, with North Alabama (8-2), West Florida (6-2) and Valdosta State (5-3) rounding out the top five.

ON THE ATTACK: The Chargers have played well on offense throughout the 2014 campaign, entering the week 85th in the nation in hitting percentage. The squad ranks third in hitting percentage (.208) and fifth in kills per set (11.30) within the GSC. Freshman

UPCOMING SCHEDULE: The next eight matches for the Chargers will all be on the road, which is the longest road stretch of the season for the squad. After West Alabama, UAH travels to Union (10/7), West Florida (10/10), West Georgia (10/11) and Trevecca Nazarene (10/14). The Chargers wrap up the road swing with three matches at the Henderson State Invitational on Oct. 17-18.
