MARQUETTE, Mich. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville (0-7-1) lost on Saturday night to Northern Michigan (5-0-1) in the series finale at the Berry Events Center by a final score of 4-1.
Scoring started slowly on Saturday night, as both teams went scoreless through the first eight minutes of the contest. However, NMU took a 1-0 advantage at the 8:05 mark in the first on a goal by Reed Seckel.
The rest of the first went scoreless, despite the Chargers accruing 14 shots on goal in comparison to the Wildcats' eight. Five different UAH players notched two shots on target in the frame.

Northern Michigan took control of the contest in the third period, totaling two goals in the frame. Maschmeyer scored his second of the game at 5:18, while Gerard Hanson netted the final goal of the night at 9:20.
The Chargers managed a total of 23 shots on goal during the game, the fourth time this season with 20-plus shots on net. Saulnier led the squad with four shots on goal, while
Graeme Strukoff and Kestner tied for second on the roster with three apiece.

Matt Larose totaled 37 saves in the loss, his fourth consecutive game with 35 saves or more. The sophomore stopped a total of 18 shots in the third period.
The Chargers will be on the road again next weekend, as the squad heads west to Colorado Springs, Colorado to take on Air Force in a weekend series. Puck drops at 8:07 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday.
