GSC OPENER: The Chargers will play the first two of 22 straight conference games this week when the team welcomes West Florida at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday night before hosting a Saturday visit from Valdosta State at 3 p.m. UAH will carry a 3-3 record into the contests after wrapping up conference play with a setback on the road at Trevecca Nazarene on Monday night.

RECAPPING NON-CONFERENCE PLAY: UAH began the non-conference slate with a split on the road in the Sunshine State, dropping a decision to nationally-ranked Nova Southeastern before cruising past Barry. The Chargers then came home for three, falling to Trevecca before rattling off two straight wins against Montevallo and Hiwassee prior to Thanksgiving and then concluded the schedule with the Monday night loss at TNU.

FROM DOWNTOWN: Senior Shannon Steinert is currently second in the GSC as she features a strong 3-point field goal percentage of 52.4 percent, connecting on 11 of her 21 attempts on the season. Against Montevallo on Nov. 22, the Hoover, Alabama, native went 4-for-5 from beyond the arc, and she was 3-for-4 against Barry on Nov. 15.

ABOUT WEST FLORIDA: The Argos navigated their non-conference slate to a 3-1 record with the lone loss coming to No. 20 Central Missouri. Three players are scoring in double figures for West Florida, led by Toni Brewer who is nearly averaging a double-double with 15 points and 9.5 rebounds per night.

SERIES HISTORY: West Florida holds a slight 26-23 edge in the all-time series after both teams defended their respective home floors last season. In Huntsville, UAH captured an 82-79 victory as the team shot 53.8 percent from beyond the arc.
