HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's basketball team is set to welcome Shorter for a 7:30 p.m. contest on Thursday before travelling to West Georgia for a 3 p.m. CST showdown on Sunday afternoon. UAH enters the set of games with a 12-9 (8-6 Gulf South Conference) record.

The game at West Georgia was moved to Sunday due to schedule changes created by the winter storm impacting the area on Wednesday.

The Chargers will look to continue to receive strong play from freshman Seab Webster who has been terrific of late, leading UAH in scoring in the first two games of the current three-game homestand. He set a season-best with 23 points against West Florida and followed that up with a 17-point performance against Valdosta State.

Since being inserted into the starting five on Jan. 9 at Shorter, the Gurley, Ala., native has increased his scoring average to a season-high 7.4 points per game. UAH is 6-3 in those nine games, and Webster is averaging 10.3 points per contest as a starter.

The first two games Webster started came against Shorter in a 67-65 road setback and at home against West Georgia in a 79-72 victory.

Shorter will visit Huntsville with an 8-12 (5-9 GSC) record and on a four-game slide. The team has been steady at home with a 6-4 record, but the Hawks struggle away from Rome with a 1-7 road mark. A high-scoring team that averages 84.5 points per game, five Shorter players score in double figures with Dedric Ware's 18.5 points per contest leading the way.

Winners of five of their last seven, West Georgia is 15-8 (7-7 GSC) with a 9-2 mark at Carrollton. Deonta Stocks leads the Wolves with 21.3 points per game, while Stephan Thompson owns a team-best rebounding average of 7.3.
