THIS WEEKEND: Head coach Matt Watts and the Chargers kick off a two-game road trip Friday with a pair of regional matches in Pensacola, Florida, against Florida Southern and third-ranked Rollins. The contests will be played at Brosnaham Park – the site of the Gulf South Conference Soccer Championships.

LAST WEEKEND RECAP: UAH started the season last weekend in Columbus, Georgia, opening the season with a 3-0 setback to Lincoln Memorial and a 3-0 win against Eckerd. The Chargers picked up a pair of goals from Kyle Simmons and another strike from Mitch Wilson in the victory, while Andrew Ingram led a defensive effort that helped goalkeeper Michael Winstone earn the clean sheet.

SIMMONS-WILSON CONNECTION: When Kyle Simmons assisted on Mitch Wilson's game-winning goal against Eckerd, it marked the 14th time in the pair's four years at UAH that they have combined on a goal. Simmons has assisted Wilson on four occasions, while Wilson has picked up the assist on 10 of Simmons' goals.

ABOUT FLORIDA SOUTHERN: The Mocs have only played one match this season, picking up a 3-0 victory over Webber International at home. Each of Florida Southern's three goals were career firsts by freshmen Edward Spansk and Kieran Whitehead and junior Andreas Hagstrom.

SERIES HISTORY: Florida Southern leads the all-time series 8-2-1.  While the most recent meeting between the two programs was in 2008, the Chargers notched wins in 1992 and 2004 and tied the Mocs in 2006.

ABOUT ROLLINS: The Tars, ranked third nationally, split their first two matches of the season with a home win over Anderson and a road loss to Flagler. Midfielder Rob Crowley leads Rollins with two goals and an assist on the season. Rollins will play Gulf South Conference opponent West Florida on Friday night before facing UAH on Sunday.

SERIES HISTORY: Rollins leads the all-time series 4-1.  The Chargers and Tars played the first time in 1974 and did not play again until UAH's 2-1 victory in 2005, and the last time the two teams squared off was 2008 when Rollins won 3-0.
