ON THE ROAD: The Chargers will head south for a pair of games, taking a 5-6 Gulf South Conference record to Valdosta State for a 5 p.m. contest on Thursday before heading to Pensacola, Florida to take on West Florida at 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

RECENT ACTION: Juniors Josi Saunders and Dina Saunders combined for 31 points to lead the UAH offense in the exhibition loss at Vandy. On Saturday, UAH fell to rival North Alabama despite a successful performance from freshman Loren Foster who had 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting.

LEADING THE WAY: Halle Jarnagin is posting a strong junior season, leading the Chargers with 10.4 points per game and averaging 5.6 rebounds per contest. Jarnagin's scoring ranks 19th in the GSC, while her rebound average is good for 15th in the league.

BOMBS AWAY: The Chargers have four players in the top 20 in GSC three point field goals per game. Dina Saunders is eighth with 1.6 per game with Lauren Foster (13th, 1.4), Shannon Steinert (19th, 1.1), and Josi Saunders (20th, 1.1) not far behind.

FOSTERING YOUTH: Freshman Loren Foster has made an immediate impact for the Chargers, shooting 54.8 percent from behind the arc. Foster leads all Chargers in 3-point field goal percentage and ranks second with 23 made. Foster is 13-for-23 from three in her last 10 games and is a big reason UAH has been able to pick up five wins in that span.

ABOUT THE BLAZERS: Valdosta State is currently 4-7 in league games – tied for eighth in the GSC - and in the midst of a five-game skid after most recently losing to West Florida last weekend by a 66-55 score. VSU's offense is paced by April Thomas and Imari Simpson, who average over 10 points per game. The Blazers are shooting a collective .435 from field goal range.

ABOUT THE ARGONAUTS: West Florida is atop the conference standings with Union as both squads carry 9-2 records in the GSC. UWF has won four of its five last conference games, topping Valdosta State in the most recent action. The Argos offense is led by Toni Brewer who averages 14.3 points per game and 9.5 boards per contest. West Florida shoots .386 from the floor at a team and have held opponents to .355 shooting from field goal range and .229 on 3-pointers.

MATCHUP HISTORIES: UAH owns an all-time series record of 13-32 against VSU and a 23-27 all-time mark against West Florida. The Chargers hosted both the Blazers and Argonauts earlier this season, falling in both matchups.
