RECENT ACTION: UAH travelled to the South Region Crossover hosted by West Georgia over the weekend, where the Chargers fell to Sunshine State Conference opponents Barry, Palm Beach Atlantic and Eckerd during the two-day event.
GSC UPDATE: The Chargers' 6-5 record within the conference has the squad ranked fifth in the GSC heading into this week's slate of matches. No. 18 West Florida leads the league with an 11-0 GSC mark, followed by Valdosta State (9-2) and North Alabama (9-2) tied for second. Shorter (8-3) precedes UAH in fourth to round out the top five.

Haley Hop and
Anna LeDuc so far this season, as Hop is fifth in the GSC with 290 digs and LeDuc leads the roster with 2.81 kills per set. Fellow underclassmen in sophomores
Kirsten Giles (8.99 assists per set) and
Anna Claire Johnson (2.74 kills per set) have shown growth in their second collegiate seasons.
TIGERS PROFILE: West Alabama is 7-14 overall and 5-6 within the league, after most recently dropping matches to Nova Southeastern, Lynn and No. 2 Tampa at the South Region Crossover. UWA is led by Briana Sandifer with 2.92 kills per set, while five Tigers have over 100 digs so far in the 2015. The Chargers are 36-26 all-time against the Tigers.
HAWKS PROFILE: Shorter snapped a five-game win streak with consecutive losses this past weekend at the South Region Crossover to No. 2 Tampa, Lynn, and Saint Leo, with SU now holding a 10-7 overall record and an 8-3 mark in conference play. The Hawks defense currently leads the GSC with 16.75 digs per set, led by Cheyenne McLemore with a 4.95 average. UAH is 1-9 against SU all-time.
FLAMES PROFILE: Lee also took to the West Georgia campus for the weekend crossover, losing in contests to Eckerd, Barry and No. 14 Florida Southern. Catherine Conley has contributed the most consistent offensive success with 2.13 kills per set and a .287 hitting percentage. Defensively, Stephanie Hernandez leads the squad with 4.44 digs per frame. UAH is 22-13 when matching up against Lee.
TROJANS PROFILE: Trevecca Nazarene is 11-8 overall on the 2015 campaign, with the squad winning over Oakland City last Thursday in three sets. Katelyn Atkinson paces the offense with 296 kills and a 4.23 kills per set average, while also leading the team with 216 digs and 3.09 digs per set. The Chargers hold an all-time series record of 13-2 against the Trojans.
