PHOTOSHUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team fell in the team's season finale, dropping a 2-0 decision to visiting Valdosta State on Sunday afternoon at Charger Park. UAH ends the season at 6-9-2 (3-8-1 Gulf South Conference), while VSU moves to 4-9-2 (3-6-1 GSC).

The contest marked the final one in the careers of seniors
Sydnie Fiocca,
Niina Jetsu,
Summer Mooney,
Isabel Shanteau and
Jillian Young. The five were honored prior to the game with a special pregame ceremony to celebrate their tenures in the Rocket City.

The Blazers found the back of the net early, striking in the ninth minute on Jade Reynolds' strike, and the visitors padded their advantage late in the contest when Kim Caitlin Alderman scored in the 85th.

In the game, shots were even at 14-14 while UAH held a 9-7 in shots on goal, and the Chargers also held a 5-2 edge in corners.

Fiocca fired off a team-high six shots including four that were on target, while Mooney also had a pair that were on goal.

Two of Fiocca's chances came in the last 15 minutes of the contest, but McCall Gardner was able to stop them as part of the seven saves she finished with on the day.

Larae Breaux stopped five shots in goal for the Chargers, finishing the 2015 campaign with 116 stops.
