RECENT ACTION: UAH enters the week with a 19-12 overall record and a 10-8 mark within the Gulf South Conference, after falling at rival North Alabama last Thursday and picking up a win over Mississippi College on Saturday at home.
 
GSC UPDATE: No. 22 West Florida continues to lead the conference with a 17-1 record within GSC play, followed by Valdosta State and North Alabama in a tie for second with 16-2 GSC marks. Shorter (13-6 GSC) is locked into the fourth seed for the GSC tournament, while UAH is officially the fifth seed for the league tournament. The Chargers and Hawks will matchup in the GSC tournament on Tuesday, Nov. 17 in Rome, Georgia.
 
ON THE ATTACK: The Blue and White rank fourth overall in the GSC with a .199 hitting percentage, with junior Rachel Brugman pacing the Chargers with a .333 hitting percentage and 184 kills. Senior Haley Snyder follows Brugman with a .292 swing rate and 199 kills.
 
SERVING AHEAD: UAH has accumulated 179 service aces as a team this season, good for second in the conference and 38th nationally. Sophomore Kirsten Giles and freshman Haley Hop lead the Chargers with a combined 67 service aces in 2015.
 
BLAZERS PROFILE: VSU begins the weekend with a 21-5 overall record and a 16-2 record in conference play, as the Blazers are currently riding a seven-match win streak.  The Valdosta State offense is led by Lea Jaklen with 285 kills for a 3.20 kills per set average, while Natalia Campos paces the defense with 433 digs.
 
MATCHUP HISTORY: UAH holds a 24-19 edge in the all-time series against Valdosta State, despite the Blazers winning the last four matchups between the two programs.
 
ARGONAUTS PROFILE: West Florida boasts a 25-5 overall record and a 17-1 mark in league play after winning the past six GSC contests with just one of those matches going past three sets. Autumn Duyn leads the offense with 301 kills, while Tori Martella has a team-high 485 digs.
 
MATCHUP HISTORY: The Chargers are 7-21 all-time when pitted against the Argonauts, with West Florida taking the matchup earlier this season on Oct. 10 by 3-0 at Spragins Hall.
