HOT AT HOME
: UAH continued its success at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall this season with a pair of GSC wins over Union and Christian Brothers over the weekend. The Chargers are now 18-11 overall and 9-7 in the GSC, while owning an 11-3 home record in 2015.
 
GSC UPDATE: No. 23 West Florida continues to lead the league with a 14-1 GSC record, followed by North Alabama and Valdosta State in a second-place tie with 14-2 conference marks. Shorter (10-6) and UAH (9-7) round out the top five in the league.
 
SWEET SWINGING: Senior Haley Snyder led the UAH offense with 21 kills and a .514 hitting percentage in the undefeated weekend, totaling a weekend-best .625 swing rate with 10 kills against Union on Friday. This season, Snyder is second on the roster with a .288 hitting percentage while leading the defense with 79.0 total blocks.
 
YOUTH SUCCEEDING: Freshman Haley Hop is now on a six-game streak of 10 digs or more, after totaling 28 digs in two matches this past weekend with an average of 4.00 scoops per set. The Madison, Alabama, native has highlighted the Chargers defense with a team-high 375 digs and a ranking of eighth in the GSC with 3.73 digs per set.
 
CELEBRATING SENIORS: The UAH volleyball program will be honoring five outstanding student-athletes in Olivia Bauman, Alexis Deal, Kendall Knisley, Kennedie Lariscy and Haley Snyder during Saturday's homestand for their hard work on the court and in the classroom in their four years in the Blue and White.
 
LIONS PROFILE: North Alabama enters Tuesday's matchup on a six-match win streak in GSC games, while owning a 21-6 overall record and 14-2 conference mark. The Lions are paced on offense by Natasha Fomina with 347 kills and 3.77 kills per set, with Ashtyn Kapovich pacing the defense with 347 digs. UAH topped UNA earlier this season by a score of 3-0 at Spragins Hall to give the Blue and White a 17-51 all-time record against the Lions.
 
CHOCTAWS PROFILE: Mississippi College begins the week's slate 3-23 overall and 2-13 within the conference, following a win over West Georgia and a loss to West Alabama this past weekend. The Choctaw attack is led by four players with 100 kills or more, while Madison Kimes leads the defensive effort with 217 digs and 2.93 digs per set. The Chargers are 10-4 all-time vs. the Choctaws after defeating MC 3-0 earlier in 2015.
 
THOROBRETTES PROFILE: Kentucky State (18-10, 17-1 SIAC) will be the Chargers final non-conference opponent of the season, with the Blue and White holding a 9-4 record out of league play. KSU is coming off a pair of losses in non-conference matches against Kentucky Wesleyan and the Cumberlands. The Chargers are 1-0 all-time against Kentucky State, after winning the first-ever matchup between the two programs in the 2013 campaign.
