CONFERENCE PLAY STARTING: The Chargers will open up the 2015-16 GSC slate with the road swing to West Florida and Valdosta State. Wednesday's matinee contest at UWF – which will mark the first away game of the year for UAH – is set for 1 p.m., while Saturday's showdown at VSU is scheduled for 1 p.m. CST.

RECAPPING THE LAST TIME OUT: UAH surpassed the century mark, knocking off Lane 103-55 in the team's final game before the Thanksgiving break. Five players scored in double figures for the Chargers led by freshman Baylee Johnson's 19, while Chandler Elder notched a double-double with 13 points and 10 assists.

ON THE BOARDS: Senior Halle Jarnagin currently sits fifth in the GSC in rebounding, averaging 8.0 boards per game after pacing the team on the glass in the past two contests. Her season-high – which also leads the team – came against Tuskegee when she recorded a double-double by adding 12 rebounds to her 14 points.

PERFECT AT THE STRIPE: Senior Dina Saunders leads the GSC in free throw percentage, knocking down all 13 of her attempts on the season. Each of the shots at the line have come in the past two games as she was 6-for-6 against Tuskegee and 7-for-7 against Lane.

LONG-RANGE THREAT: A 50 percent shooter from beyond the arc, sophomore Loren Foster enters conference play ranked tied for fourth in the league in 3-point percentage, while her 2.0 treys per game is good for a tie for seventh in the conference.

ABOUT WEST FLORIDA: After dropping their first two games of the year, West Florida has won two straight to own a 2-2 record heading into GSC action. Katie Bobos sits on top of the UWF offensive ledger with 12.8 points per game, while Alex Coyne is averaging a team-high 6.8 assists per contest to go along with a scoring average of 9.5

SERIES HISTORY: UWF holds a slim 27-24 advantage all-time against the Chargers, and the two teams split the season series last year with UAH winning a thrilling 77-71 decision in Pensacola. The Chargers trailed by nine with just under two minutes to go in the game before eventually forcing the extra time en route to the win. Foster led UAH with 15 points.

ABOUT VALDOSTA STATE: The Lady Blazers are 4-1 on the season, suffering their first loss of the season on Sunday to Nova Southeastern after reeling off four wins to open the year, and the squad will open up GSC play on Thursday by hosting North Alabama. Eight players for VSU are scoring at least 7.0 points per game led by Sunshine Walton's 14.0 per contest.

SERIES HISTORY: Saturday's hosts hold a 33-13 advantage in the all-time series, and the Lady Blazers took both meetings last year. At VSU a season ago, UAH fell by a 61-46 score as Halle Jarnagin paced the team with 12 points in the setback.
