ANOTHER HOME PAIR: The Chargers (6-2, 3-1 Gulf South Conference) will wrap up their second four-game homestand of the season this weekend, hosting Shorter at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday and welcoming Lee for a 2 p.m. contest on Saturday.

RECAPPING LAST WEEK: UAH continued its hot start to the season a week ago, picking up another pair of home wins by defeating West Alabama and West Georgia. With the wins, the Chargers have won six of their last seven games, and the team is an impressive 5-1 in the Rocket City.

RANKINGS UPDATE: With the strong start, the Chargers have now broken into the D2SIDA South Region rankings, placing in a tie for seventh in the poll that is conducted by a committee of sports information directors in the region. Other GSC schools in the poll include No. 2 Delta State, third-ranked Union, and Shorter who is ninth. The poll has no bearing on the official NCAA rankings that are released later in the season and ultimately used to seed the NCAA tournament.

TOUGH D: Though UAH currently features one of the top offense efforts in the GSC, the team's defensive effort is also strong as the Chargers are ranked third in the conference in both scoring defense and field goal percentage defense. Opponents are averaging just 55.9 points per game against UAH, and the opposition has a field goal percentage of 34.5.

FOSTER FROM DOWNTOWN: Sophomore Loren Foster has been shooting lights out from beyond the arc as she is 10th in the nation and third in the GSC with a 3-point field goal percentage of 51.4 percent, and additionally she is tied for sixth in the league with 2.3 successful treys per game.

ABOUT SHORTER: The Hawks visit Huntsville with a 5-2 overall mark and a 2-2 record in conference play, splitting a pair of home games last week by knocking off Valdosta State in overtime before falling to West Florida. Reigning GSC Player of the Week Taylor Adams leads the squad both in scoring and on the glass as she is averaging a double-double with 14.6 points per game to go along with 12.4 rebounds per contest.

SERIES HISTORY: The Chargers own a slim 9-8 advantage in the all-time series with the Hawks, but it was Thursday's visitors who won both meetings last season. In Huntsville, Shorter was a 59-58 winner on a last-second shot in a contest that saw Dina Saunders scored a team-best 18 points.

ABOUT LEE: With a 6-3 overall record and a 3-1 conference mark, the Flames travel to Huntsville entering the week with a two-game win streak ahead of their Thursday contest at North Alabama. Lee is scoring 70.9 points per game, and Erin Walsh leads the way with 14.9 points per contest while Carrie Cheeks owns a team-best rebounding average of 7.1.

SERIES HISTORY: UAH also owns a one-game lead in the all-time series with the Flames, and the teams split the contests last year with the road team winning both times. Lee was a 67-54 winner in the Tennessee Valley as Dina Saunders paced the squad with 14.
