James Ballamy scored the initial goal for the Chargers – his fourth marker of the season – in the 20th minute, assisted by both
Alex Martinez and
Jordan Wright. Freshman
Guy Clennett added the Blue and White's second goal of the match 50 seconds later in the 21st minute, which was his first collegiate goal.
Hermann Bjornsson struck for his fourth goal of the season in the 40th minute of play to extend the UAH lead to 3-0, as the junior was alone at the top of the box after a feed from Martinez and sent a shot past UNG's netminder Victor Ohlin.
Â
The UAH defense stood out in the second half, anchored by goalkeeper
Michael Winstone who made two saves in the period to total four on the evening. The Chargers also cleanly defended five corner kicks overall on the night, aided in the defense of
Esra Arnason,
John Imwalle, Kristin Kristinsson and John Michael Stern who all played 80 minutes or more.

UAH looks ahead to the beginning of Gulf South Conference play in the coming week with a trip through the state of Mississippi where the Chargers will take on Mississippi College (9/25) and Delta State (9/27).
