HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer team cruised to victory on Friday night, rolling past visiting Shorter 4-1 at Charger Park. UAH improves to 4-8-0 (2-3-0 Gulf South Conference), while Shorter slips to 4-5-1 (3-1-1 GSC).

James Narke broke a 1-1 tie just over eight minutes into the second half as he scored his second of the night.

-Narke opened the scoring in the 11th minute as he fired from long-range into the middle of the goal for an unassisted goal.

-Narke's goals represent his team-best seventh and eighth of the season, and the eight goals have come in the past seven games for the junior transfer.
-The showing is Narke's third multi-goal performance of the season as he also scored twice against Delta State on Sept. 30 and Union on Oct. 7.
-Bjornnson's night that included a goal and two assists matches his season-best in points as he also recorded four in the Blue and White's win over King on Sept. 17.
-Bjornsson's point total moves to 13 as the senior has five goals and three assists on the season.
-The goal for Buchanan is the Huntsville native's first of the season, and it is his fifth career score. Additionally, it is the first non-game-winning goal of the junior's tenure at UAH.
-Narke's goal in the 11th minute is the earliest goal scored by the Chargers this season. The previous mark was when UAH scored in the 14th minute of the game against Delta State.
