GSC UPDATE: West Florida (12-1 GSC) is currently atop the league standings, followed by North Alabama (11-3 GSC) and Shorter (11-3 GSC) in a tie for second in the GSC. Valdosta State (8-5 GSC) and Christian Brothers (8-6 GSC) follow in fourth and fifth, respectively, with UAH holding on to the sixth slot in the conference standings.

ON THE BLOCK: After posting 1.71 blocks per set as a team in 2015, the Chargers have become one of the leaders of the conference in blocks per set as they rank second with an average of 2.16. The UAH defense is paced by
Caroline Sanford with .97 blocks per set and
Rachel Brugman with .95 blocks per set, with both players ranking in the top 10 in the GSC in that category.

HELPING HAND: Kirsten Giles has enjoyed a successful junior campaign thus far, as the Hazel Green, Alabama, native ranks fourth in the GSC with a career-best 9.19 assists per set in 2016. Giles has also excelled on the defensive end for the Chargers, posting 16 double-doubles with digs and assists this year.

Emma Lenoir paces the Bucs on offense with 317 kills and a 3.56 kills per set average, with Blythe Clausen owning a team-best 299 digs.
