Caroline Sanford and Brugman with .95 blocks per set in 2016, which has both players ranked in the top five in the league.

JUNIOR SHINES: Anna Claire Johnson has had another remarkable season in her junior campaign, registering 200-plus kills for the third time in her career with a team-high 272 successful swats in 2016. Johnson enters the weekend ranked 10th in the GSC with 273 kills and a 2.81 kills per set average.

DEFENSIVE ANCHOR: Haley Hop has paced the Chargers defense for the second year in a row as the sophomore owns a team-best 398 digs and a 4.02 digs per set average, which has her ranked in the top 10 in the league in both categories. Hop starts the weekend with a total of 14 performances of 15 digs or more.

HOME COOKING: The Chargers have seen a bevy of success this past season, holding a 9-3 record when playing at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall. Over the past two seasons, the Blue & White boast a 21-6 home record.
BLAZERS PROFILE: Valdosta State starts the weekend's slate with a 13-15 overall record and a 9-9 conference mark, after a loss to Christian Brothers on Friday and a win over Union on Saturday at home. The VSU offense is led by Susanna Peonia's 334 kills, with Sydney Chick owning a team-high 460 digs. UAH is 24-21 all-time against Valdosta State.

ARGOS PROFILE: West Florida begins the weekend in a three-way tie with North Alabama and Shorter atop the GSC standings with a 15-3 conference record, after a trio of 3-0 wins last week against Valdosta State, Union and CBU. The Argos are led by Corisha Smith's 286 kills in 2016, while Tori Martella holds a team-high 546 digs. UAH is 7-24 all-time against UWF.

TIGERS PROFILE: Tuskegee enters the weekend with a 12-16 overall record and a 12-8 record within the SIAC, following a 3-1 victory over Miles on Tuesday. The Tigers offense is paced by two players with 200-plus kills in Taliyana Bryant (235 kills) and Jessica Johnson (231 kills), while Zahria Radford has a team-best 459 digs on defense. This will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs on Saturday afternoon.
