FLORENCE, Ala. | The fifth-ranked University of Alabama in Huntsville men's basketball team earned another victory in the waning moments on Sunday, pushing past Tampa 91-86 at North Alabama. The Chargers improve to 2-0 on the season, while UT slips to 0-2.

Turning Point
-With the game tied at 86-86,
Seab Webster grabbed a rebound on the defensive end and then was fouled on the ensuing possession with just 48.7 seconds left, and the senior stepped up to the line and buried both free throw attempts to put his team ahead for good as UAH held Tampa scoreless in the closing seconds to seal the win.

Inside the Box Score
-Webster led the Chargers on the afternoon as he scored 27 while grabbing a team-best eight rebounds, and he was joined in double figures by
Troy Saxton who scored 14 and
Brandon Roberts who added 13.
-Especially strong in the first half was Webster as he scored 22 in the period.
-Webster also paced the team on the glass as he collected eight rebounds on the afternoon.
-Saxton was strong at the charity stripe, going a perfect 8-for-8 in free throws.
-Tampa had four players score in double figures with Pat Bacon's 18 leading the way, and Grant Bryant recorded a game-high in rebounds with nine.
-The Chargers held a slim advantage in shooting on the day, connecting on 44.4 percent of their attempts, while Tampa shot 44.1 percent.
-UT won the rebounding battle, collecting 44 – including 14 on the offensive end – while UAH grabbed 36 boards.
-UAH turned the ball over just eight times in the contest.

-The first half saw eight lead changes and nine ties, and both teams enjoyed five-point advantages in the stanza with UAH leading 21-16 just before the midway point of the half and Tampa owning a 30-25 lead at the 6:30 mark.
-The Spartans were up 44-41 with just 1:23 left in the opening half, but Roberts scored six points for the Chargers in a 9-3 run to close out the period, sending UAH into the break ahead 50-47.
-UAH proceed to start the second half on fire, scoring 12 of the first 14 points in the period to go in front 62-49 by the 16:21 mark, but the Spartans proved to be a resilient bunch, erasing the deficit and going back in front 81-79 with 4:50 left in the contest.
-At that point the lead would exchange hands six times and the game would be tied twice leading up to Webster's free throws in the final minute.

Noteworthy
-The 22 points for Webster in the first half mark his highest in a half since he scored 23 in the opening stanza against Union on Jan. 10, 2015. He finished that day with 33 points.
-
Collin Langley logged a career-best 20 minutes while grabbing a pair of rebounds and dishing out two assists.
-Saxton's showing at the free throw line represents his career best in both percentage and makes.
-The Chargers hit six 3-pointers as the team was held to single digits in successful treys in consecutive regular season games for the first time since Jan. 16 and 21 of last season.
-Overall in the game, the score was tied on 11 occasions and the lead changed 15 times.

-The Chargers will return to action on Friday when the team travels to Evansville, Indiana, for the Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic. UAH opens the event with a 3:30 p.m. contest against No. 3 Bellarmine. The team will then turn around to face No. 2 Lincoln Memorial at the same time on Saturday.
